2021學年度第一學期課程大綱

一、課程中文名稱：英文查經班   

       課程英文名稱：English Bible Study  

二、授課老師姓名：蔡安美（Emily Seitz）/ 蔡約拿 (Jonathan Seitz )

三、課程目標：

     1. Develop skills and practice in reading the English Bible. 

         培養閱讀英文聖經的技巧和實踐。

     2. Read a mix of devotional materials, especially related to Advent (the period before Christmas). 

         閱讀靈修材料，特別是與降臨節（聖誕節前的時期）相關的材料。

     3. Gain some introduction to the Bible as literature and the Bible in movies.   

         了解聖經作為文學作品和電影中的聖經。       

四、課程要求 (評量方式)：

      1. Daily Bible reading and weekly short reflection (50 words) 

          每日聖經閱讀和每週簡短反思（50 字）

      2. Create vocab sheet for class one time during the semester. 

          在學期內為班級製作一次詞彙表。  

      3. Short final paper in English. 

          英文的簡短期末論文。    

五、課程簡介：

This course uses devotional readings, Bible passages, films, and stories to introduce the Bible to readers. The course will use a daily devotional website and then an Advent (Christmas) book for the end of the course. Each week is a mixture of reading and discussion. Students from almost any level of English background are welcome (some background to advanced).  Readings come from the Bible (any version is welcome) as well as from Bible reading websites and an Advent book. 

本課程使用靈修讀物、聖經段落、電影和故事向讀者介紹聖經。該課程將使用每日靈修網站，並在課程結束前會使用 Advent（待降節期）書籍。每週課程結合閱讀和討論。本課程不限學生的英語水平，課程將使用聖經（不限版本），以及聖經閱讀網站和節期相關的書籍。
